Franziska Xaviera Cabrini is the founder of the order of the "Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart", canonized by the Catholic Church in 1946. She is said to have taken care of needy children at an early age. In the course of her work in New York she founded a total of 67 schools, hospitals, orphanages or monasteries in the USA and Latin America.
