In 1363 Katharina entered the Third Order of the Dominicans, called "Mantellari" because of their long black cloak. Her radical search for God fascinated other men and women, who joined her. She devoted himself to the care of the sick and the poor in the hospital. Katharina died in the church of San Pietro in Rome.
